Most of us who are involved in the Network Marketing industry are a little older and have worked at our job or careers for many years. There are numerous reasons why we have ended up working in this industry. Some reasons that you hear are a little extra money, pay off bills, or put your children through college. A lot of Multi-Level opportunities advertise that you can make good money working 3 – 5 hours a week. In my experience this has not been the case. I have decided that I would like my career to become my part time job and Network Marketing to be full time. I obviously spend way more than 3 – 5 hours a week building my business. To be successful in any endeavor, you must make a commitment. I love Network Marketing so it is easy for me to be committed to my business. You will have to make your own decision as to how successful you would like to be.
Success in this industry is directly proportional to the amount of effort you put in. Of course your efforts need to be directed in the right direction. Most every Multi-Level opportunity has a dedicated marketing plan that you are encouraged to follow. The problem is that these plans can be very limiting. I have tried many of the different marketing techniques and found that a good Internet based plan provides the most versatility. Depending on where your creativity lies, there will be some avenue for you to market your products or services. Here are just a few:
• Article Writing: It never crossed my mind that I could write an article that would be interesting to others. I admit that I have a lot to learn but it is great fun to write on a subject that you feel passionate about. Even if you are not the best writer, the readers will be able to pick up on your passion. I actually have two blogs that cover different subjects.
• Videos: Now this is a real stretch for me. I’m one of those people who do not like to hear their own voice. Also, I do not think that I am very photogenic. It has been challenging but fun trying to come up with a video that I feel good about. The most important point is that it has been fun and we all need a reason to laugh at ourselves sometimes.
• Social Media: Now I would assume that most of your friends and family have a Facebook account. Maybe not so many use Twitter, but the point is, social media sites have changed how we communicate. What better way to introduce your business than to post it on Facebook or Tweet to your followers. Be careful not to come off to strong though. Stay away from the hard sales pitch.
Commit yourself to your Network Marketing business. The result can be a lot of success and fun along the way. Decide where your creativity lies and reach beyond your comfort zone. There may be a passion out there you never thought you had.
